The Biography
Ragini Das grew up curious, ambitious, and deeply involved in everything she did. At Chettinad Vidyashram in Chennai, she was not just a student but a cultural leader, learning early how communities are built and voices are amplified.
That instinct stayed with her as she pursued Business Administration at Lancaster University, where she explored the practical side of business through internships, market research, and hands-on problem solving.
Her professional journey began on the ground. At Trident Group India, Ragini worked across domestic and international markets, learning how scale, logistics, and performance come together behind large businesses. In 2013, she took a leap into India’s fast-growing startup ecosystem by joining Zomato, where she spent six formative years across sales, key accounts, and market expansion.
Community
Founded leap.club to build trusted networks for women.
Scale
Launched Zomato Gold across multiple international markets.
Resilience
Turned a 2013 rejection into a leadership role at Google.
In 2017, she became part of the founding team of Zomato Gold, working across growth, engagement, and product marketing. The role took her beyond India, helping launch the programme in multiple international markets and shaping her understanding of startups as global, fast-moving organisms built by people under pressure.
But not every milestone came easily. In 2013, Ragini had once reached the final round of interviews at Google and been rejected. The moment stayed with her, quietly shaping her resilience rather than defining her limits.
In 2020, she co-founded leap.club, building a trusted space for women professionals through curated networks, events, and communities. The platform grew rapidly, serving thousands of women before closing operations in 2025. Even in its ending, leap.club reflected Ragini’s willingness to build boldly, learn honestly, and move forward without fear.
Today, Ragini returns to Google, this time as Head of Startups at Google India. SHE turned a closed door into a circle, proving that the journey always listens when you refuse to stop walking.
